Since opening its doors in early 2024, the 3D Group Training Academy has rapidly grown and evolved. Initially offering tool-specific masterclasses, the academy has earned positive reviews and developed a reputation for covering a wide range of courses suitable for auto locksmiths of all skill levels.
Our courses range in length from intensive 1- or 2-day sessions to full-week programs. Most run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and include lunch. Conveniently located in Nottinghamshire, just off Junction 27 of the M1, the academy is easily accessible for all across the UK.

VAG Xhorse Training Course
If you’re a locksmith working on VW Group vehicles - Audi, Skoda, VW, or SEAT - the VAG Xhorse training course is designed for you.
In just one day, you'll gain hands-on experience in key programming work using Xhorse tools. The course focuses on VAG, UDS, and MQB systems, covering lost and spare key solutions, data processing, and dealer key creation. You'll learn how to work with UDS and MQB systems, use adapters for lost key situations, and set up Xhorse keys - combining classroom learning with real-world practice.

Aimed at auto locksmiths with some experience, this one-day course dives deeper into module reading and key programming for BMW FEM systems using the ACDP-2 tool. You’ll learn how to install and activate modules on the ACDP-2, identify FEM & BDC and DME units, and manage tasks like backing up coding, producing dealer keys, and more. Lock Picking & Decoding Course (2 Day)
The lock-picking course is ideal if you're starting out or looking to sharpen your skills. Over two days, you'll learn basic lock-picking techniques, decoding, and using all the right tools through classroom learning and hands-on practice.

Lonsdor Course (Coming Soon)
Newly developed for those interested in exploring the Lonsdor product range, this course will focus on key programming and various related processes.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with the Lonsdor advanced product range, including the Lonsdor K518 Pro Key Programming Set. Topics will cover menu and function overviews, guidance on universal remotes, adapter identification, and on-vehicle programming for specific models, including 2025 AKL Toyota, Peugeot, Citroen, Land Rover, and Vauxhall.
